getting closer

Well, we are 15 days away from our departure to Australia...and I am just one week away from the beginning of my travels, as I will be heading up to Fenton, Michigan, for a wedding. From there I will fly to Harrisburg, PA for a conference where I will meet up with Joel. The two of us will fly from Harrisburg to Los Angeles and meet up with Scott there, on the evening of June 9. Once there we will have one full day to hang until catching our flight on the night of June 11.

Plans are starting to shape up for us. We really don't want to have too many of them...we don't want to be any more constricted than we already are since we have certain flights to catch on certain days. I am hoping that our time in Australia will be very flexible...of course the three of us each have a list of things we would love to do/see/eat/drink, but we want the experience to spontaneously take us places and absorb the culture through the locals.

I just recently finished working on a draft of our New Zealand plans. We will be there for 10 days...not nearly long enough to do anything (or so I've been told by some New Zealanders) and we will make our way from the top of the North Island down through the South Island. Check out this link to a rough draft plan: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=108405834630430684838.0004871f7b2b4a16998b2&ll=-42.163403,172.880859&spn=8.485132,21.643066&z=6

We still have a few things to figure out...but we are getting there and I absolutely cannot wait.
